The Simpson Strong-Tie HTT5HDG Hot Dipped Galvanized Tension Tie has added protection for use in areas where corrosion may cause problems like ACQ lumber. This tension tie may be installed up to 18" above the top of the concrete with no load reduction provided that additional elongation of the anchor rod is accounted for. Using a BP58-2 bearing plate installed in the seat of the HTT5 provides add more allowable tension load to the connection. HTT5 Tension Ties are designed to be used in both in vertical and horizontal applications.

Hot Dipped Galvanized Coating Information
Hot-Dip Galvanizing is applied after the products are fabricated. The coating weight increases with material thickness. The minimum average coating weight is 2.0 oz./ft2 (per ASTM A123 total both sides). These products require hot-dip galvanized fasteners (fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153). Anchor bolts are hot-dip galvanized per ASTM F2329.
Level of Corrosion Resistance: Medium
California Proposition 65
⚠WARNING: – www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
We are providing this warning pursuant to a law passed by California in 1986 called the “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986”, or “Proposition 65” for short.
A Proposition 65 warning does not mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. In fact, the California government has clarified that “[t]he fact that a product bears a Proposition 65 warning does not mean by itself that the product is unsafe.”
The California agency tasked with implementing Proposition 65 has also explained, “You could think of Proposition 65 more as a ‘right to know’ law than a pure product safety law.” See http://oehha.ca.gov/prop65/background/p65plain.html
